Elgin Pure Water is a specialist in water treatment solutions. We began our operations a few decades ago and have grown due to excellent relationships with our clients and communities. As well, Elgin Pure Water provides a self serve bottled water refill station. With water treatment products available through department and big box stores, as well as the emergence of other water companies, Elgin Pure Water has set itself apart from the competition.

We are the local dealer for the Kinetico brand of water treatment equipment. Kinetico is the only non electric water treatment product on the market using the energy of moving water to power its products. Our History

Elgin Pure Water was founded by Harold and Bonnie Lake and has proudly served St. Thomas and area since 1981, with quality products and service to the residential, commercial, and industrial markets. Passed on to the second generation, Dan Lake strives to maintain the same level of service and quality of products to our customers.

  1. 1981

    Founded

    In November, Bonnie and Harold formally started Elgin Pure Water out of their house selling water distillers.

  2. 1991

    Staff

    Ten years later, Elgin Pure Water was ready to expand. We hired our first delivery person, followed shortly by another for service and installation.

  3. 1996

    Incorporated

    The business was incorporated and became Elgin Pure Water Inc.

  4. 1999

    Continued Growth

    As Elgin Pure Water continued to grow, we added our first salesperson and Dan Lake began working full time at Elgin Pure Water.

  5. 2016

    Succession

    Harold and Bonnie Lake retired and the family business was passed to Dan Lake.
